We’ve been invited to an intimate dinner with friends to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of our neighbor, Lou and Monique. For the celebratory toast, their son opened a 1962 wine. It had a great flavor. There was some tartness to it that reminds me of cherries and chocolates. My husband and I enjoyed the party so much. There was just a quiet dinner then each of their three kids, prepared a speech for their parents. The grandchildren also rendered their song and dance numbers. The thing that I liked most was seeing Lou and Monique dance to the tune of their theme some – Moon River. That was also the song that me and my husband picked for our first dance as a couple. There were no dry eyes in the room while they were dance. We were all awed at seeing two people who have remained in love up to their old age.
